Deep Tissue/Sports
Therapeutic massage as beneficial as it is cannot always relieve injury- specific trauma. Sports massage is geared toward individuals involved in physical activities, such as: (running, weightlifting, aerobics, biking, swimming) that demand physical endurance. This type of massage can be easily adapted to address the many common injuries that can affect the athletes' performance. During each session a therapist will identify problematic areas, begin or continue the rehabilitation progress and educate the client on preventative steps they can take. Only qualified personnel can legally diagnose an injury, disease or physical dysfunction. Sports massage is typically a deeper massage focusing on injury-specific areas. During a typical session many different manual manipulation techniques are used. Broad cross-fiber friction, compression with active engagement, trigger point work, active muscle lengthening techniques and reciprocal inhibition (RI) are just a few of the specialized techniques tapped within a session. Your therapist will devise a specific plan to accommodate your individual injury. By having a proper assessment your treatment is much more efficient and rehabilitation can progress.
CranioSacral Therapy
$50 1/2 hr, $70 hr
CranioSacral Therapy is traditionally performed on people who have had a physical or emotional injury that still seems to plague them long after the sight has healed. The treatment process is performed with the client fully clothed using a very light touch (about the weight of a nickel). The therapist utilizes delicate manual techniques to release those problematic areas and is able to relieve undue pressure on the brain and spinal cord. Sometimes, even though the therapist has released the physical restrictions in the body, an emotional release of energy is needed to fully discharge the trauma. The client does not need to analyze the problem to release it. Often, after even one session, the body will return to the position it was in when the injury occurred. When the central nervous system is free of restrictions, the body is able to return to its' greatest level of performance.
Reflexology
Each organ in the human body is directly connected to 4200 reflex points in the hands and feet. By stimulating these points with manual pressure or “finger walking” a connection is made to the specific organs, glands and many other systems in the body. Reflexology is non-invasive, clothes on treatment that is relaxing and refreshing for the whole body. The client can receive a full body treatment or a specific targeted treatment if isolated work is required or requested. Many benefits from a reflexology treatment can be expected including, but not limited to, stress reduction, sinus problems and headaches diminishing, more actively functioning body systems and an overall feeling of well being. A general treatment includes a hot salt soak and exfoliation of the feet and a paraffin treatment on the hand and will last about an hour and 15 minutes.

Lymphatic Drainage
$70 hr, $90 1-1/2 hr, $800 for 10 pre-paid sessions
Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) is a profound technique to help increase the body's flow of lymph by stimulating the lymphatic filtration systems. The increased circulation assists in detoxifying the body and supports our health through a better immune system "researches are just beginning to understand and demonstrate that your ability to remain healthy and disease-free is in large part directly related to how efficient your body is at circulating lymphatic fluid and dealing with the toxins it contains." Dr David G. Williams. Although the concept may be new, (and somewhat controversial) the lymphatic system has been understood and utilized for thousands of years around the world. LDM has been proven to be helpful for clients lacking energy, depressed immune response, chronic fatigue syndrome including frequent colds and the flu, skin disorders including acne and eczema, digestive disorders, edema (swelling), sinus congestion, tension headaches, muscle sprains or broken bones, insomnia, allergies, circulatory problems, emotional stress and depression and cellulite removal. Secondary to optimal health benefits, MLD drastically reduces and even eliminates the appearance of cellulite. The "ripples, dimples and cottage cheese" that we see on people is a build-up lymphatic fluid. The tissue fluid can become static (not-moving) due to a toxic overload or a blocked lymph passageway due to the result of surgery, injury or congenital problems. This leads to a puffy appearance of certain body parts. LDM gently encourages lymph fluid to flow to lymph nodes (located primarily in the abdomen, armpits, pelvic region and the throat) and will be eliminated mainly through your urine. The lymphatic system has no pump like the vascular system even though we have three times the amount of lymph than blood. Lymph relies solely on muscle contracture to move it, which LDM provides. LDM is most beneficial when done in a series to provide a cumulative effect.

Hot Stone Massage
$120 for 1-1/2 hr
$80 for 1 hr
“We believe that one stroke with a stone is worth ten with your hands- the treatment is ten times deeper for ten times less effort. It lasts ten times longer than traditional techniques." Says author Mary Nelson, founder of LaStone Therapy.
Stone treatments use heated stones on and under the body to allow a therapeutic, relaxing, deep-tissue, cleansing and detoxifying experience. The key principles of Hot Stone treatments include deep tissue manipulation, auric and chakra field work (energy and energy source work), and spirituality.
Hot stone massage brings about local and systematic changes in the body through thermal conduction expanding the blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted waste materials through the body. This has a relaxing sedative effect on the nervous system, allowing muscle tissue to soften and relax. Depending on the clients’ individual needs, the treatment sessions are varied to accommodate each person. A full Stone treatment will last about 1-1/2 hours and will be felt for days to come. Let go, be stoned and connect back to Mother Earth.

LaStone therapy
Stone treatments use heated and frozen stones on and under the body to allow a therapeutic, relaxing, deep-tissue, cleansing and detoxifying experience. The key principles of Hot and Cold Stone treatments include thermotherapy (alternating hot & cold), deep tissue manipulation, auric and chakra field work (energy and energy source work), and spirituality. The use of alternating temperatures has been scientifically and medically proven of benefit to the body. The experience of both the deep penetrating and relaxing heat of the hot stones with the refreshing coolness of the cold stones is a unique and exhilarating experience. Cold stones are alternated with the hot stones during stone massage to create thermal-therapeutic effects to allow the body to detoxify and heal.
Hot stone massage brings about local and systematic changes in the body through thermal conduction expanding the blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted waste materials through the body. This has a relaxing sedative effect on the nervous system, allowing muscle tissue to soften and relax.
The cold stones cause the blood vessels to constrict stimulating the nervous system, drawing blood and waste products through the system and out of the body. Cold stones are a wonderful treatment for inflammation and muscular injury. Depending on the clients' individual needs, the treatment sessions are varied to accommodate each person. A full Stone treatment will last about 1-1/2 hours and will be felt for days to come. Let go, be stoned and connect back to Mother Earth.
Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy

$ 75 for 1 hr session
The Best deep tissue massage available.
An ancient Chinese method where a partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues causing the release of toxins, activates the lymphatic system, cleans colon blockages, helps clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, clears stretch marks and improves varicose veins.
The art of cupping was developed over time from the original use of hollowed- out animal horns or bones to drain toxins out of the body. The horns evolved to bamboo cups which were then replaced by glass or plastic cups. The cups create suction and negative pressure which draw toxins and fluids from the body. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes that cupping dispels stagnation of blood and energy in order to treat a variety of conditions. TCM observes that stagnation of CHI (energy) progresses to become a weakened immune system.
There are two main techniques of cupping: stationary and moving "massage" cups. Stationary cupping, also known as "flash cupping", is the most common technique used in TCM. This method is used on adults and children to treat respiratory conditions such as coughs and colds, asthmatic conditions, and pneumonia.
Moving Massage cupping is the most common method used by massage therapists. The entire back can be treated, including the neck, shoulders, middle and lower back, and sacral area. Other areas such as the abdomen, hip and thigh can also be treated. This method is also very effective in eliminating cellulite.
The Massage cupping experience is one of deep warmth with a tingling sensation. This method does not irritate the skin. It draws out the inflammation from the muscle and skin without adding any additional stress to the area treated. The increased local blood supply to the skin and muscle allows for toxins to be eliminated through normal blood flow in the veins. It is very effective when combined with other massage techniques.
